RAD PULSE

Website monitoring.
Without pretending
to be someone else.

RAD Tools uses identifiable external monitoring requests to check whether websites are online, healthy and behaving as expected.

RAD Pulse deliberately identifies itself. We don't disguise monitoring requests as normal visitors or browsers.

WHAT WE CHECK

Looking after more
than just uptime.

RAD Pulse performs regular external checks against websites being monitored by RAD Tools customers.

Depending on the monitoring configuration, those checks may inspect availability, SSL certificates, redirects, DNS, security headers, robots.txt, sitemaps and indexing signals.

Checks are designed to be lightweight and read-only. RAD Pulse does not modify website content.

01 HTTP availability

Can the public website actually be reached?

02 SSL

Is the certificate valid and approaching expiry?

03 Redirects

Does the requested URL reach the expected destination?

04 DNS

Does the hostname resolve correctly?

05 Site signals

Security headers, robots.txt, sitemap and indexing configuration.

MONITORING BLOCKED

Sometimes the website
is fine. The monitor
just isn't allowed in.

Security products, firewalls and hosting platforms can intentionally reject automated monitoring traffic even while allowing normal browser visitors through.

When RAD Tools has strong enough evidence that this is happening, RAD Pulse reports Monitoring blocked rather than incorrectly declaring the website offline.

A blocked monitoring request is treated separately from a confirmed outage.

Monitoring blocked External probe rejected
The public monitoring request appears to have been rejected by the site's security layer.
OUTAGE STATUS Not confirmed

FOR HOSTING & SECURITY PROVIDERS

Easy to identify.
Easier to trust.

If you're investigating requests made by RAD Tools, the User-Agent shown above is the primary identifier for RAD Pulse.

We recommend allowing legitimate RAD Tools monitoring traffic where your security configuration supports trusted external monitoring services.

As RAD Tools infrastructure expands, this page will publish supported probe addresses and additional allowlisting guidance.

01 Identifiable

RAD Pulse sends a clear monitoring identity rather than impersonating a browser.

02 Read-only

Standard Pulse monitoring observes public website responses. It does not alter website content.

03 Bounded

Monitoring requests and response inspection are deliberately constrained to avoid unnecessary load.

04 Explainable

RAD Tools aims to distinguish outages, recommendations and monitoring interference instead of reducing everything to pass or fail.
